Fuel Surcharge for Air Express Services (Deccan 360 Priority & Deccan 360 Premium):
Deccan 360’s fuel surcharge for air express services, Priority & Premium, are based on a composite index of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices across India.

The minimum fuel surcharge is capped and based on a composite ATF price of Rs.30/litre at which point, the fuel surcharge is 25% of the basic freight amount. Further, for every increase or decrease of Re. 1/litre in composite ATF prices, the fuel surcharge will increase or decrease by 1%. For example, if the composite ATF index were to be Rs.39.5 which falls between Rs.39/litre to Rs.40/litre, the fuel surcharge would be 35% of the basic freight amount. For a summary of fuel surcharge trigger points, please refer to the attached table. The composite index for ATF is computed by averaging the price of ATF at various locations in India. The fuel surcharge for a particular month will come into effect on the 1st of that month and will be based on a composite of the previous month’s average ATF prices. The fuel surcharge for the coming month is published on our website by the 25th of every month.

Deccan 360’s fuel surcharge for surface express services, Economy, is based on a composite index of diesel prices across India.

The minimum fuel surcharge is capped and based on a composite diesel price of Rs.30/litre at which point, the fuel surcharge is 10% of the basic freight amount. Further, for every increase or decrease in composite diesel prices the fuel surcharge will increase or decrease accordingly as per the appended table. For example, if the composite diesel index were to change from Rs.34/litre to Rs.35/litre, the fuel surcharge would increase from 22% to 25% of the basic freight amount. For a summary of fuel surcharge trigger points please refer to the attached table. The composite index for diesel is computed by averaging the price of diesel at various locations in India. The fuel surcharge for a particular month will come into effect on the 1st of that month and will be based on a composite of the previous month’s average diesel prices. The fuel surcharge for the coming month is published on our website by the 25th of every month.
