About this job
  1. Uses structured processes & best practice methods to recruit, select, develop & manage the performance of a team of Professional employees. Ensures they have the capability to deliver robust & cost effective marketing plans, solutions and campaigns that meet the immediate & longer-term needs of the business & its Customers.
  2. Develops and recommends advertising and branding strategies and tactics that correctly focus on increasing brand awareness within defined target segments.  Provides direction and priorities to Outsource providers/advertising agencies in order to ensure achievement of required awareness levels.
  3. Ensures that the organization can correctly identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the local market place. Develops and implements effective methods and tools to identify and collate relevant information on actual and proposed changes/trends within the organization’s business, competitor and business environment. Ensures correct evaluation of information and translation into effective advertising & branding strategies.
  4. Supports the development of countrywide marketing initiatives by seeking local market expertise from the Sales & Operations Teams. Manages the deployment, including leading cross-functional teams in the effective execution and communication of required changes and/or external promotions. This includes advertising and brand programs, below-the-line initiatives, online-campaigns, sports marketing and other event programs. Takes appropriate actions to protect the Organization’s brand in direct and non-direct served areas.
  5. Identifies and champions branding and advertising initiatives that drive brand awareness and image/reputation improvements and achievement of the Customer Experience strategy. Includes development, implementation and evaluation of effective advertising & media research, developing appropriate recommendations to ensure the campaigns are workable and implemented in accordance with the defined parameters.
  6. Identifies and champions Revenue Generation and CRM initiatives that drive revenue and improve customer loyalty in the overall scheme of delivering Customer Experience. Includes conceptualizing, constructing, developing, implementing and evaluating effective Marketing Programs and Campaigns, developing appropriate recommendations to ensure the campaigns are workable and implemented in accordance with the defined parameters.
  7. Provides Direct Marketing and On Ground support to the execution of local initiatives (cut off times, areas served, new revenue streams etc., participating in cross-functional projects (new city openings, direct served versus franchisee, new flights etc) and managing all related activities (promotions, events, programs, sales support, etc).
  8. Provides advertising and branding support to the execution of local initiatives (cut off times, areas served, new revenue streams etc., participating in cross-functional projects (new city openings, direct served versus franchisee, new flights etc) and managing all related branding activities (external promotion, Customer notifications, press events, etc).
  9. Leads the effective evaluation and selection of advertising agencies, including development and approvals of the contract.  Ensures effective processes are used to manage agency performance against the contractual terms (cost, service, timeliness etc).
  10. Manages a departmental budget ensuring all costs are reviewed and controlled within agreed parameters. Focuses on improving local profitability and optimisation of ROI through consistent evaluation of ideas, proposals, investments made.
